About Book

"Today, the world continues to rely heavily on fossil fuels and even subsidies them. Meanwhile, the pollution they generate — ranging from climate-damaging greenhouse gases to health-endangering particulates – has surpassed all previous records. There is unparalleled momentum for ushering in a post-fossil fuel era. All energy sources, like any human activity, have an effect on the environment. Renewable energy is no exception, as each source comes with its unique set of trade-offs. However, the benefits of renewable energy over fossil fuels are undeniable: reduced water and land consumption, reduced air and water pollution, reduced animal and habitat loss, and nil or reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, their local and decentralised nature, as well as technological advancement, offer significant economic and social advantages. Renewable energy delivers stable electricity and diversifies fuel sources, enhancing energy security and lowering the danger of fuel leaks while reducing the reliance on imported fuels. Renewable energy also contributes to the conservation of the country's natural resources. Renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal do not require fuel or transportation, and so maintain a more stable price.

This book attempts to understand the multiple branches that fall under the discipline of renewable energy and how such concepts have practical applications. It discusses in detail the importance and application of renewable energy. It presents an exclusive analysis on advanced approaches of modeling and experimental investigations of clean energy technologies. It is a compilation of chapters that discuss the most vital concepts of this field. It deals with electric power system, renewable energy from palm oil, harmonic distortion, tools for sustainable development, renewable energy, emissions, and health. It also focuses on microgrid design for shared loads, desalination hybrids for sustainability and energy storage systems and safety. Such selected concepts that redefine this subject area have been presented in this book. The various subfields along with technological progress that have future implications are glanced at in it. Those with an interest in the field of renewable energy would find this book helpful.
