About Book

Renewable energy refers to the energy produced by the resources which are natural and renewable like sun, water, wind, geothermal heat etc. The energies produced by these resources are solar, hydropower, geothermal energy and wind energy respectively. Renewable energy is an alternative to non-renewable energy like petroleum, fossil fuels, etc. These energies cannot be exhausted and is constantly renewed. Renewable energies are generally spoken of as opposed to fossil fuel energies. The fossil fuels' stocks are limited and non-renewable in the human timescale. The most known examples of these resources are coal, oil or natural gas. On the contrary, renewable energies are produced from renewable sources. Renewable energy resources and significant opportunities for energy efficiency exist over wide geographical areas, in contrast to other energy sources, which are concentrated in a limited number of countries. This book attempts to understand the multiple branches that fall under the discipline of renewable energy and how such concepts have practical applications. It discusses in detail the importance and application of renewable energy. It explores renewable energy resources, energy storage, renewable electric energy, biodiversity restoration, energy management system, architecture parallel, catalyst development and desalination. The various subfields along with technological progress that have future implications are glanced at in it. Different approaches, evaluations and methodologies and advanced studies have been included in it. As this field is emerging at a rapid pace, the contents of this book will help the readers understand the modern concepts and applications of the subject.
